HORSE THERAPY CINDY MOLLS

  • How long should my horse run in the aquatrainer?
The duration of aqua training varies from horse to horse. Here are a few factors that influence the duration: - What is the general/daily condition of the horse? - What is your fitness level? - Is the horse due to a previous illness/injury? - What previous illnesses/chronic illnesses exist? - Is the horse coming to aqua training for the first time? - Does the horse come regularly (at least once a week)? On the basis of these and other factors, the duration of aqua training is individually adapted to each horse on a daily basis. Of course, the height of the water level and the speed of the treadmill also play an important role. IMPORTANT: Aqua training is extremely strenuous. For this reason, it must be built up slowly and gently. It makes no sense to immediately let an untrained horse run in the water for 30 minutes. You can also quickly overwhelm the horses with aqua training. I adjust the duration, the water level and the speed of the treadmill individually to each horse and also look at the horse's condition on the day. During the training, the horses are closely observed so that each horse can be individually addressed and the training adapted accordingly. Here is an example of a horse that is regularly trained and comes to aqua training for the first time: I inquire about the health of the horse when I make the appointment and ask for some information about the horse. There are also horses for whom aqua training is not recommended! At the first appointment, the horse is then calmly familiarized with the aqua trainer. Since the first appointment for most horses is not only physically but also mentally very demanding due to the new impressions, the horse usually only runs for 10-15 minutes in the aqua trainer at first. Let's assume that the horse now comes to aqua training once a week, then the duration, the water level and the speed of the treadmill are adjusted anew each time and increased accordingly. But this really varies from horse to horse.
  • How often should my horse use the aqua trainer?
The frequency of aqua training clearly depends on your goal. If you have a horse that is in training regularly and you want to add variety to your training, I recommend that you come to aqua training once a week or at least every two weeks. To encourage muscle growth in healthy, trained horses, I recommend aqua training once a week. For horses that are to be built up gently after an injury break, it makes perfect sense to carry out aqua training daily (adapted to the current state of health of the horse, of course) for several weeks (after consultation with the treating veterinarian). Another possibility is to bring your healthy, trained horses to us for one to two weeks (longer is of course also possible). Your horses can then enjoy daily aqua training and other treatments (e.g. Bemer). This intensive training has an optimal effect on the entire musculoskeletal system.
  • Isn't winter aqua training too cold for my horse?
No - the cold water cools the joints and tendons and also promotes blood circulation. The metabolism is stimulated and the cardiovascular system strengthened. During training, the horses warm up. After all, aqua training is exhausting. We are also in a closed room and a solarium is available after training for the cold days. In addition, there is the option of warming the back with infrared lamps during aqua training or putting a suitable blanket on the horses.
  • Can I temporarily stable my horse with you?
We currently have four rehab boxes: - for horses that are to be built up gently after an injury break (controlled movement in theAquatrainer after consultation with the treating veterinarian) - Vacation replacement for your horses - Wellness for your horses
  • what are the costs?
Individually depending on the desired treatment / duration. I would be happy to inform you personally about the respective costs. There is the possibility to buy 10 tickets, so the single treatment is cheaper.
  • Can you buy a voucher?
Yes - you can easily order them from me via WhatsApp or the contact form.
